This might be my favorite song off of vespertine. I know the meaning of the word “undo” is not strictly linked to its function in countless computer programs, but its meaning may be amplified by its current techno-ubiquity. Also amplified is the effortlessness of this action in say photoshop, comparatively an undo in a relationship can take years, and we may find ourselves looking for simpler alternatives or wishing for the “cmd-z.” This would all be dork talk if it weren’t for the fact that the music/lyrics are also a beautiful blend of technology and pure emotion.
